Proton eMAS 7 Variants from Prime, Premium to Premium Plus: Which Variant Should You Choose?

Proton e.MAS 7 Prime vs Premium vs Premium Plus comparison

The Proton e.MAS 7 is a larger EV SUV than the e.MAS 5, offering more space and a longer driving range.

Unlike the e.MAS 5, even the Prime variant already comes with many convenience features and a more complete ADAS package. This means the differences between the e.MAS 7 variants are less dramatic.

The Proton e.MAS 7 is available in three variants: Prime, Premium and Premium Plus. The main differences in specification are driving range, comfort and convenience features.

Proton e.MAS 7 Prime

The Proton e.MAS 7 Prime comes with a 345 km WLTP driving range on a full charge.

The more noticeable missing features are the panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, 256-colour ambient lighting and Windshield Head-Up Display (HUD). It also comes with a 6-speaker sound system.

Other than these differences, the Prime is already very complete. Its ADAS system is quite comprehensive, while the convenience features are already more than enough for normal daily use.

Proton e.MAS 7 Premium

The Proton e.MAS 7 Premium is the variant I usually recommend, and it is also the more popular choice among buyers.

It comes with a 410 km WLTP driving range, giving you more flexibility for both city driving and longer journeys. It also adds several noticeable comfort and technology features, including the panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, 256-colour ambient lighting and Windshield Head-Up Display (HUD).

The sound system is also upgraded from 6 speakers to a 16-speaker Flyme Sound System. Overall, the Premium offers a strong balance between range, technology, comfort and price.

Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus

The Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus mainly adds two noticeable upgrades over the Premium.

The driving range increases to 450 km WLTP, while front driver and passenger massage seats are added for better comfort.

I would recommend the Premium Plus only if you feel the longer driving range and massage seats are worth the additional cost. Otherwise, the Premium is already a very complete choice.

Conclusion

The Proton e.MAS 7 Prime is already a complete choice if you mainly want the space, EV experience and essential technology at a lower price.

The Premium is the variant I usually recommend because it gives you a longer 410 km WLTP range, more comfort features and a more complete overall package.

Choose the Premium Plus if the 450 km WLTP range and massage seats are worth the extra cost to you. Otherwise, the Premium is already more than enough for most buyers.
