1. What is the Proton e.MAS 5 designed for?
The Proton e.MAS 5 is a compact and affordable EV designed mainly for everyday city driving.
One important thing to consider is its driving range. The Premium offers up to 325 km on a full charge, and in everyday use, most drivers will normally recharge before the battery gets too low. This makes the e.MAS 5 less ideal for frequent long-distance or outstation driving.
However, if most of your driving is within the city and you want to experience the benefits of an EV, the e.MAS 5 is a very attractive choice. Its affordable price, smart technology, build quality and young, modern design make it one of the most compelling entry-level EVs in Malaysia.
Its biggest limitation is range. But for city driving, the overall package is difficult to ignore.
2. Which Proton eMas 5 variant should I choose?
The Prime already comes with most of the essential features, making it a good choice if you mainly use the car for daily city driving.
The Premium is the variant I would recommend for most buyers. It offers a longer 325km WLTP range compared to 225km in the Prime, together with a larger battery, stronger performance, ADAS, 360° camera, powered tailgate and additional convenience features for a more complete everyday driving experience.
Since driving range is one of the most important considerations for an EV, the Premium gives you more flexibility and makes the e.MAS 5 easier to live with beyond short daily trips.
3. How long is the waiting time?
The usual waiting time is around 1-2 months, depending on the variant, colour and current stock availability.
4. Can I apply for a full loan?
