Proton S70 Variants from Premium, Flagship to Flagship X: Which Variant Should You Choose?

Proton S70 Premium vs Flagship vs Flagship X comparison

The Proton S70 is a C-segment sedan built for drivers who want more than basic daily transport. It combines sporty performance, a younger design and more advanced technology, while remaining competitively priced.

Compared with the Proton Saga, the S70 looks sharper, feels more modern and delivers much stronger performance through its 1.5L turbocharged engine, with higher power and torque for a more exciting drive.

Note: The Proton S70 Executive is currently no longer available for new orders. This guide will therefore focus on the Premium, Flagship and Flagship X variants.

Proton S70 Premium

The Proton S70 Premium is currently the entry variant available in the market. However, it does not feel basic because the S70 is already built around performance and technology.

Its main weakness is the more limited infotainment system. It also comes with ADAS, but the system is not as complete as the higher variants.

Overall, the Premium still delivers the sporty performance and modern technology expected from the S70. It remains a strong and well-equipped choice.

Proton S70 Flagship

The Proton S70 Flagship brings a clear upgrade in both the infotainment system and ADAS package.

It also adds several smaller convenience features, such as a wireless charger, Proton Link app, six speakers instead of four and a six-way power-adjustable driver seat.

Apart from these upgrades, many of the main features are already available in the Premium. The Flagship mainly makes the technology, safety and daily driving experience more complete.

Proton S70 Flagship X

Similar to the X50 Flagship, the Proton S70 Flagship X mainly focuses on appearance and premium styling.

The main upgrades are the sunroof and full black interior.

In simple terms, the Flagship X is for buyers who like the Flagship but want a sportier and more premium look.

Conclusion

Choose the Premium if performance is your main priority and you do not need the full technology package.

Choose the Flagship if you want a more complete driving experience with better infotainment, a more complete ADAS package and additional convenience features.

The Flagship X is mainly for buyers who value the sunroof and full black interior. If those two upgrades are not important to you, the Flagship is already the more practical choice.
