Proton X50 Variants from Executive, Premium to Flagship: Which Variant Should You Choose?
The All-New Proton X50 is positioned as the sporty SUV in the Proton lineup. It is one of Proton’s most performance-focused and technology-packed models.
The Proton X50 is available in three variants: Executive, Premium and Flagship. So, what are the differences, and which Proton X50 variant should you choose?
Proton X50 Executive
The Proton X50 Executive is already a well-equipped entry variant.
It comes with useful features such as Walk Away Auto Lock, Remote Engine Start, rain-sensing wipers and the Proton Link app. For an entry-level X50 spec, its technology and convenience features are already quite complete.
However, its main weakness is the safety system. The safety features are more limited and not as advanced as the Premium.
In simple terms, the Executive is already a powerful SUV with useful technology.
Proton X50 Premium
The Proton X50 Premium is the variant I usually recommend.
The biggest upgrade is the ADAS safety system. Features such as the 360° HD camera and transparent view are available from the Premium variant onwards. It also adds smaller technology and exterior upgrades, such as the front welcome lamps.
The Executive is already a powerful SUV with good technology, but the Premium offers a more complete safety system and a more complete overall driving experience.
Proton X50 Flagship
The most obvious upgrades in the Proton X50 Flagship are its appearance and premium features.
It comes with a sportier rear spoiler, dual-tone exterior and a different interior design. Other upgrades include the panoramic sunroof, wireless charger and Auto Park Assist.
In simple terms, the Flagship is mainly for buyers who want the sportiest appearance and the highest level of equipment.
Conclusion
If your budget allows, I recommend the Proton X50 Premium because its safety and technology features are more complete.
For most buyers, the Premium is already more than enough. Choose the Flagship only if you feel the sportier appearance, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and Auto Park Assist are worth the extra cost.
